§ 2.01. Establishment of city government.

The corporate governmental powers of the City of Thomson shall be vested in a mayor and five councilmen to be known as the "Mayor and Council of the City of Thomson." The mayor and council shall be elected and shall exercise their powers in such manner as prescribed by this Charter, the Constitution, and applicable general laws of the State of Georgia, or if not prescribed, in such manner as prescribed by the duly established ordinances of the City of Thomson.
