§ 3.05. Political activity prohibited.

No officer or employee of the city, other than the mayor and councilmen, shall continue in the employment of the city after becoming a candidate for nomination of election to any city office. Any council member, other than the mayor, who runs for the office of mayor must resign from the council prior to qualifying to run for said office of mayor.
