§ 2.09. Compensation and expenses.

The salary of the mayor shall be $8,000.00 per annum, and the salary of each city councilman shall be $5,000.00 per annum. Each councilman and the mayor, when authorized by the mayor and councilmen, and upon the presentation of itemized vouchers, shall receive their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties of office.
